The World Cup will break new ground for curling as it becomes the only international event where teams will wear their countries’ flag and colours with prize money available.

Organisers revealed that a total of $165,000 will be distributed at each of the first three events - Suzhou, China; Omaha, United States; and Jonkoping, Sweden.

Around $66,000 per discipline will be handed out in the Women’s and Men's events and $33,000 for the Mixed Doubles.

The prize fund will then rise to $280,000 for the Grand Final in Beijing – and $112,000 will be available in total for each of the Women’s and Men's disciplines, and $56,000 for the Mixed.
