Suzhou social sweep #1

What's been going on in the world of social media this week?

With three weeks until the opening leg of the Curling World Cup, we take a look at what the competing athletes are getting up to in the lead up to the competition.

Team Hasselborg and Team Edin will be competing for Sweden in Suzhou in a couple of weeks' time and have dozens of international medals between them but they couldn’t help but have some fun while preparing for the inaugural Curling World Cup. Is that broom allowed on the ice?

Who says curling is easy? Russian skip Anna Sidorova breaks a sweat as she gets ready for the 2018-2019 season. Sidorova and her team will be in Suzhou, China next month and look like they mean business.

Korey Dropkin calls Sidorova and raises her a one-legged squat...with a stone. Korey, who will team up with Sarah Anderson in the mixed doubles in Suzhou, clearly enjoys keeping fit and shows everyone he can do more than just throw a stone...

Just for fun... 😁

United States' lead Becca Hamilton saw the funny side when somebody tweeted a picture of her brother's bobble head. Matt Hamilton was a gold medallist at the Olympics this year but couldn't help but make a comment on the availability of his sister's bobble heads in response...

Team Muirhead skip Eve has been spending the last few months in rehab but is yet to confirm whether she will be in China next month. The Olympic bronze medallist from Sochi four years ago gave her thoughts on the venue for the first leg of the Curling World Cup on Twitter.
